US Marine Corps Ball 2011 Edition

Claudia and her husband attends the Marine Corps Ball every year and with this year being their last, Claudia wanted a dress that really described her personality while to also create a "wow" factor. She has a very bright and bubbly personality, so we found a dress that suited her to the T.

**The United States Marine Corps Birthday is celebrated every year on the 10th of November with a traditional ball and cake-cutting ceremony.

Claudia went with a a Beaded One Shoulder Floral Print Satin Gown. The bright floral design looked great with her skin tone.

THE SOLUTION:
Claudia wanted to do a couple custom work on this dress because she really wanted to stand out in it.

  1.  Shorten beaded strap
  2.  Take in bust area
  3. Hem front (2 layers) -- leave train
  4.  Add pleats to give a slimming effect *custom*
  5. Add slit for a more dramatic look *custom*

    **pictured: adding pleats

(Left) The front of the gown all pinned up to her liking.
(Right)The sides and pleats pinned up

THE FINAL RESULTS
Claudia  & her husband Dave at the USMC Ball.
She looked amazingly gorgeous!
