Mother of the Groom

Grace is an MOG, abbreviated for Mother of the Groom for  a Spring wedding this May. As excited as she is to gain another daughter, she was also very anxious and nervous to find a dress.

Looking in several different places and feeling disappointed at the selection, she decided to try smaller boutiques with high hopes to find a dress that is unique and which can also give her a slimming effect.

In an effort to help select her dress, we stumbled upon this one particular style; a One Shoulder Fitted Mermaid Gown with pleats and ruffles....Very daring, very bold, and very chic. Grace was skeptical to try it on, but what she did not know was that this is one of our popular style among MOG's (Mother of the Groom) and MOB's (Mother of the Bride).

After convincing her to try it on, she was so stunned the minute she put it on, because she felt so beautiful in it. She absolutely loved it! She needed some alterations, so I went right to work.

THE SOLUTION:
 **pictured: trimming off the ruffles
  1. Remove ruffles on the strap. She wanted a "cleaner" look on top so the focus would be the ruffles on the bottom.
  2. Take in at the strap
  3. Take in at the bust area
  4. Hem ruffles all around

AFTER

Grace's search for that perfect MOG dress ended when she stepped foot in at Style 4 U. She did not know it, but after a long hunt,  sometimes the dress just chooses you!

Thanks, Grace. It was so fun having you around. I hope to see you again soon!
